Sarah Bankins is an Associate Professor of ethical AI and work, and Faculty Director of Research Excellence, in the Macquarie Business School at Macquarie University. Her research, focusing on how AI technologies are shaping the nature and future of work, has been funded by organisations such as Meta and the Australian Research Council and has been cited by thinktanks and policy development bodies across the EU and USA. Before becoming an academic she worked in human resource management roles in the Queensland public sector, across talent acquisition, graduate and leadership development, and diversity and inclusion.
